Corporate and Community Wellness Speaking
Science your people can use the same week.
Eleven 60–90 minute talks on metabolic health, hormones, brain health and resilience, delivered by a practicing clinician who treats these issues every day.
The speaking menu
Eleven talks, three themes
Every session pairs clear science with practical strategies, and each can be tailored to your workforce, industry and wellness goals.
Metabolic health and energy
Metabolic Health Is Workforce Health
Fatigue, afternoon crashes and rising rates of prediabetes are signs of metabolic dysfunction, and they affect focus, mood and productivity. This talk explains how blood sugar and insulin sensitivity drive daily energy and long-term disease risk.
- Why most adults fall short of metabolic health
- How blood sugar swings show up as brain fog and cravings
- Early warning signs and lab markers worth asking about
- Simple daily habits that stabilize energy
Best for: kickoff events, benefits enrollment, wellness launches
Fuel for Focus: Nutrition and Hydration for Sustained Energy
What people eat and drink at work shapes how they think by 3 p.m. This session cuts through diet noise to focus on whole-food nutrition, protein and fiber timing, and the overlooked role of hydration in cognition.
- How to build a meal that keeps focus steady
- Why mild dehydration impairs concentration and mood
- Practical swaps for desk snacks, meetings and travel
- Reading labels for hidden sugars and additives
Best for: lunch-and-learns, meeting-heavy or traveling teams
The Gut–Brain Connection: Digestion, Mood and Immunity
The gut helps regulate immunity, inflammation and the chemical messengers that influence mood. This lecture explains the gut–brain axis in plain language and shows how stress, diet and medications shape the microbiome.
- How gut health connects to anxiety, mood and immunity
- Common signs the gut needs attention
- Foods and habits that support a healthy microbiome
- How chronic stress disrupts digestion
Best for: cold and flu season, mental health initiatives
Muscle Is the Organ of Longevity
Muscle governs blood sugar disposal, protects bones and joints, and is one of the strongest predictors of healthy aging. This talk reframes exercise from calorie burning to muscle building, with strategies for desk-bound professionals.
- Why muscle matters for metabolism and independence
- How muscle loss accelerates in midlife, and how to slow it
- The minimum effective dose of strength training
- Movement snacks that counter all-day sitting
Best for: fitness challenges, ergonomics, aging workforce programs
Hormones, brain health and midlife
The Midlife Brain: Perimenopause, ADHD and the Hormone Connection
Brain fog, forgetfulness and overwhelm in midlife often mark a real neurological shift. As estrogen fluctuates, it affects dopamine, serotonin and brain energy metabolism. For women with ADHD, diagnosed or not, this transition can unmask or intensify symptoms.
- How estrogen and progesterone influence focus, memory and mood
- Why ADHD symptoms often emerge or worsen in perimenopause
- How metabolic health protects the aging brain
- Practical next steps and questions for a provider
Best for: women's leadership groups, ERGs, neurodiversity initiatives
Menopause at Work: What Every Leader Should Know
Women in perimenopause and menopause are often at the peak of their careers, yet many quietly struggle with symptoms that affect sleep, concentration and confidence. This talk gives leaders and HR the science and tools to retain experienced talent.
- Stages and common symptoms of the transition
- How symptoms show up at work, and why they're misread
- Current thinking on hormone therapy and other options
- Low-cost accommodations and supportive policies
Best for: HR, people leaders, benefits teams, all-staff sessions
Drive, Energy and Resilience: Men's Hormones in Midlife
Declining energy, motivation, muscle and sleep in men are often written off as aging. This session explains how testosterone and metabolic health are linked, what low testosterone does and doesn't look like, and why lifestyle comes first.
- How testosterone, insulin resistance and body composition interact
- Symptoms that warrant testing, and what labs mean
- Benefits and risks of testosterone therapy
- Sleep, strength and nutrition strategies
Best for: male-dominated industries, executive health, Men's Health Month
Stress, sleep and environment
Beyond Burnout: Nervous System Regulation for High Performers
Burnout is a nervous system stuck in overdrive. Chronic stress raises cortisol, disrupts blood sugar, impairs sleep and erodes decision-making. This talk teaches fast regulation tools that work mid-day, and the role of connection and play in recovery.
- How chronic stress affects hormones and cognition
- A stressed versus a regulated nervous system
- Two-minute regulation techniques between meetings
- Why community and play are performance strategies
Best for: high-pressure teams, leadership retreats, peak-season recovery
Love Is the Medicine: How Safety and Belonging Promote Optimal Health
The mind, nervous system, hormones and immune system are in constant conversation. The science of psychoneuroimmunology shows that safety and belonging shift the body toward repair, while chronic threat and isolation fuel inflammation and slower healing. This talk makes that science practical for individuals and teams.
- How the brain, stress hormones and immune cells communicate
- Why loneliness and chronic stress are measurable health risks
- How safety and belonging support immunity, healing and metabolism
- Building psychological safety and connection at work
Best for: culture and belonging initiatives, leadership development, healthcare teams
Sleep: The Most Underrated Performance Strategy
One night of poor sleep impairs judgment, blood sugar control and emotional regulation. This session explains what happens in the body during sleep and offers a practical plan, including for shift workers, parents and anyone in hormonal transition.
- How sleep affects metabolism, appetite, mood and memory
- Common disruptors, from caffeine to screens to hormones
- An evening routine and bedroom setup that works
- When poor sleep needs a provider's evaluation
Best for: shift workforces, healthcare and first responders, new parents
Reducing Your Toxic Load: Healthier Homes and Workplaces
Everyday exposures in personal care products, cleaning supplies, packaging and indoor air add up, and some can disrupt hormones. This talk explains how the body detoxifies and the most affordable, high-impact changes at home and work.
- How the liver, gut, kidneys and skin handle exposures
- Common endocrine disruptors and where they hide
- Practical swaps for kitchen, bathroom and office
- How indoor air and building materials affect health
Best for: Earth Day, facilities and design teams, building professionals
