Mission Accepted: The Dalai Lama’s statement on Women on Fire

At the Vancouver Peace Summit in September 2009, His Holiness the Dalai Lama declared that “the world will be saved by Western women. Not any women, perhaps not all women, but Burning Women. Women who have stepped out of silence and into the fullness of their power. Angry women who love the world and her creatures too much to let it be destroyed so thoughtlessly for a moment longer.” Women who have access to their Sacred Eternal Flame within.

According to a report by The Guardian Life Small Business Research Institute, His Holiness said, “Some people may call me a feminist … but we need more effort to promote basic human values — human compassion, human affection. And in that respect, females have more sensitivity for others’ pain and suffering.” It is time to reclaim your fire and show the world what it needs.
